An ongoing photographic experiment in which a dancer uses a remote flash unit during long exposures in pitch blackness. By controlling both her own body and the only light present, she upsets the object-subject hierarchy usual to photography. Instants of her motion are captured by her choosing, and the resultingly-baroque imagery emphasizes contrast reminiscent of film noir and evoking the metaphysical nature of light.
