Blueprinter's carbon was used to produce these hand-drawn enlargements of the original Toronto Purchase map, a document detailing territory originally inhabited by the Mississauga, and which is now Toronto. The work was installed inside Toronto's controversial 'public billboards' (publicly funded kiosks of private advertising), replacing corporate advertising in Toronto's financial district. Taking its title from the land's original 'purchase price,' the intervention proposes a return to collective ownership and the re-establishment of truly public spaces.
